Ian Howe is an international dance educator, choreographer, and creative director with over 25 years of experience in performance, mentorship, choreography, and program development.

Known for his versatility, precision, and ability to bridge technical training with artistic development, Ian teaches and choreographs nationally and internationally for competitive studios, intensives, conventions, and pre-professional dancers.

His work spans contemporary, jazz, jazz funk, hip hop, musical theater, mentorship programming, and creative direction through AXIA.

Co-Founder — Apropos Motus Dance Company

Contemporary-based collaborative performance and creative project initiative.

Co-Owner & Artistic Director — Pacific West Performing Arts

2018–2026

Led competitive programming, faculty leadership, choreography, artistic direction, curriculum development, and multi-location studio operations. 

Show Director / Judge / Emcee — Platinum National Dance Competition

Judge, direct, and emcee regional and national competitive dance events.

Master Teacher & Guest Choreographer

Travel nationally and internationally teaching master classes, intensives, choreography commissions, competitive works, and mentorship programs.
